Reviews

Approve checkpoint submissions or send them back with feedback.

Admins use the Review Inbox to evaluate the work members submit at each program checkpoint. It's where a submission becomes either approved work with points, or feedback to try again.

The review inbox

Submissions are organized into three groups:

  • Pending — waiting for an admin decision.
  • Approved — accepted work.
  • Sent back — returned to the member for another pass.

You can search and filter by program, department, and grading status to find what needs attention.

Assistive feedback

Each submission can come with draft feedback — strengths, suggested improvements, and a checklist — to help you review faster. This is a starting point, not a decision. The admin always makes the call, and no automatic feedback approves work or awards points on its own.

Two outcomes

When you open a submission, you can:

  • Approve it. The member's work is accepted and they earn that project's points. A note to the member is optional. Points are awarded once per project — approving again won't double-count them.
  • Send it back. The work returns to the member for changes. A message is required so they know why, along with a short checklist of at least one item telling them what to fix before resubmitting.

There's no separate "reject" — work is either approved or sent back for another attempt.

Keep send-back feedback specific. The member sees your message and the checklist, and that's what they'll work from before trying again.

After you send work back

When a member gets a submission back, they edit the same submission and resubmit. That moves it from Sent back to Pending, and it comes back to the inbox for a fresh look.

The Approved and Sent back groups are history in this version — you don't reopen or change a past decision from there. The way a decision changes is the member resubmitting.
