Email notifications

Which emails TalentOS sends today, and how to troubleshoot delivery.

TalentOS sends a small set of emails tied to real actions in your workspace, not marketing blasts. There is no per-notification preferences screen yet, so the emails below are sent automatically when the underlying event happens.

Workflow step assignments

Workflow step assignment emails are rolling out and may not be enabled in your workspace yet.

When an admin assigns you to a step in a published workflow, TalentOS can email you so the work does not sit unnoticed. The email names who assigned you, the step, and the workflow, with a link to open it.

A few details worth knowing:

  • You are only emailed for published workflows. Assignments on drafts do not send email.
  • You are not emailed when you assign a step to yourself, or when you were already assigned to that step.

Invitations and account emails

Invitations to join a workspace, and core sign-in and account emails (such as verification and password changes), are handled by the secure sign-in and account system rather than the workspace's own email. If you are expecting an invite, see Invite your team.

Notification preferences are on the way. Until then, essential account and billing emails are always sent, and there is no way to opt out of them in the app.

If an email does not arrive

  • Check spam or junk first. Move a TalentOS email to your inbox and mark the sender as trusted so future messages land reliably.
  • Confirm the address. Emails go to the address on your account. If yours looks wrong, an admin manages workspace email; see Admin and member settings.
  • For assignment emails, confirm the workflow is published. Assignments on drafts do not trigger email.
