Invite your team
Invite members into departments, invite admins, and understand how invite billing works.
Admins invite people from the Team area of the admin workspace. Member invites and admin invites are separate actions.
Before you invite members
Every member belongs to a department, and the department is chosen when you send the invite. So you'll need at least one department in your workspace before you can invite members. You can create a department inline from the Team area if you don't have one yet.
Admin invites don't need a department.
Invite a member
When you invite a member, you provide:
- the person's email address
- the department they should join
TalentOS sends the invitee an email. The chosen department travels with the invitation and is applied to the person's record when they accept.
You can also invite members straight from a specific department's page, where the department is already set and you only enter an email.
Invite an admin
Admin invites are their own action and only need an email address — no department. Admins can manage the whole workspace, so invite them deliberately.
Pending invitations are free
A pending invitation is not a seat and is never billed. Billing counts active people in the workspace, and admins and members each count as one seat. The seat count goes up when an invite is accepted, not when it's sent — so you can invite freely without being charged for people who haven't joined yet.
See How seats are counted for the full picture.
Managing pending invitations
A pending invitation stays Pending until the invitee accepts it. From the invitation's row you can revoke an invitation you no longer want. To re-send an invite, revoke the old one and send a new one.
After acceptance
Once the invitee accepts, they create an account (if they don't have one), go through a short onboarding, and land in their member workspace with their department already set. From the Team area you can keep managing people, departments, and roles.
