Workflows, Nodes & Exchange

Exchange

Discover published workflows from across your company and adopt them into your own workspace.

Exchange is where you discover how other teams work. It surfaces the workflows that have been published across your company, so you can start from a proven process instead of a blank canvas. It's an admin surface.

Browsing and previewing

Exchange shows every published workflow in your company as a card with its title, how many steps it has, the tools it uses, and who authored it. You can:

  • Filter by department to narrow to a team's work.
  • Search by title or tool to find a specific process.
  • Open a workflow to read through its steps before deciding to use it.

Only published workflows appear in Exchange. Drafts stay private to their author until they're published.

Adopting a workflow

When a workflow is useful, choose Use this workflow to adopt it. Adopting makes an independent copy in your own workspace as a new draft that you own, and takes you straight to that copy's canvas so you can adjust it.

A few things to know about the copy:

  • It's a draft. Adopting never re-publishes the original author's workflow.
  • The copy is independent — it doesn't stay linked back to Exchange or to the original. After you adopt, the copy is yours to change freely.
  • The steps, their connections, and the details on each step come across. Assignees are cleared, because they point to the original team's people — you set your own. Tools carry over, since they resolve against your workspace.

Adopting is an admin action, and the copy always lands as a draft. Publish it when it's ready for your team.

When to use Exchange

Use Exchange when you want a strong starting point instead of building from scratch. Adopt a workflow that's close to what you need, then tailor the copy to your team's context, language, and process.
