Create your workspace

Start by giving your AI teammate a name and making a Room for the first project you want to work on.

Before you start

Use your work email and have a workspace name in mind. If someone already invited you, use their invitation and its email address to join their workspace.

Steps

1. Sign up with your work email. The person who creates the workspace is its owner.
2. On Pick your AI assistant, choose a name and face, then choose Say hi.
3. Follow the prompts to name your workspace and its first Room. Choose Make our room.
4. Follow the guided introduction or choose Skip intro to get to the Room composer. Try a real project question, such as “What goes on our launch checklist?”

If you see a company profile form during setup, follow the prompts on that screen. It may ask for your company website and industry, and offer a working style or a messaging channel. You can open Home or your first Room when setup finishes.

What your trial gives you

With Free-by-default signup, new workspaces start on Free. The workspace owner can choose to start a 14-day Team trial without a card if eligible. The new trial includes a one-time grant of 10,000 credits shared across the workspace. Check Settings → Plans & Billing for your current balance and trial end date. Existing trials keep the grant they started with.

If your trial ends without a paid subscription, your workspace moves to Free and keeps its existing work. See Start your free trial and Choose a plan.

A good first hour

• In your Room, ask your AI teammate for a first draft that your team can review.
• If the task needs a work app, open Connections and connect that app.
• Open Settings → Activity to see the run's receipt. Once you have a repeatable task, try Your first Routine.

A worked example

An operations lead creates a workspace for Northstar Ops and makes a Room called Launch. They ask their AI teammate to turn the launch brief into a checklist. Then they invite a teammate into the Room to review it.

What to check

• You expected to join someone else's workspace. Reopen the invitation and use the address it was sent to.
• A setup step failed. Use Retry where it appears, or reload and follow the current step.
• Your AI teammate cannot reach an app. Open Connections, connect the app, and ask again.
• You do not see an active trial. Check the workspace's Billing page for the trial or Free plan and its next available action.
