How to check a card-free Team trial, its shared credit grant, and what happens when it ends.
With Free-by-default signup, new workspaces start on Free. The workspace owner can choose to start a 14-day Team trial without a card if eligible. The grant is shared across the workspace.
Check or start your trial
- Sign in as the workspace owner.
- Open Settings → Plans & Billing. If your workspace already has an active trial, the page shows its end date and remaining credits.
- If you see Start free trial, choose it and follow the prompts. Check the same page for the trial and credit balance.
What the trial includes
The new Team trial starts with 10,000 credits for the workspace. This is a one-time grant shared by everyone in the workspace. Existing trials keep the grant they received when they started. Check Billing for your actual end date.
When the trial ends
If the workspace has no paid subscription when the trial ends, it moves to Free and keeps its work. Free has its own monthly credit allowance and limits for adding Rooms, members and connections. The workspace owner can choose a paid plan later.
A worked example
A small agency uses the trial to test a launch Room with three people. They share the trial balance. Before it ends, the owner opens Billing to decide whether to keep Team or continue on Free.
What to check
- The trial already started. Use the end date and balance shown in Billing.
- You do not see Start free trial. Sign in as the workspace owner and check whether the workspace has already used its trial. Each workspace can start one.
- Your balance differs from the new grant. An existing trial keeps its original grant.
